Forest School

Staghills Nursery School has a designated Forest School area in the nursery school grounds, and a member of staff who is Level 3 qualified in delivering Forest School.

Key Characteristics of a Forest School Session at Staghills Nursery School

• All children will access Forest School each week
• A high ratio of adults to pupils
• A unique way to deliver our curriculum
• Freedom for children to explore using multiple senses
• All children will acquire new skills and how to assess risks themselves safely
• Develop an appreciation of the natural environment
• All aspects of the curriculum will be taught outside stimulating the imagination
